PoTown Swing is a community dedicated to promoting swing dance in and around Poughkeepsie, New York.

We organize a free social dance, open to all, on Wednesday evenings at Vassar College (usually in the Aula at Ely Hall).  Each week we teach a beginner lesson at 8:00 PM, followed by dancing from 8:30 PM until 10:30 pm.  Beginners are always welcome, and you don’t need to bring a partner!

While we usually dance to DJ-ed music, we occasionally have live bands and other special events. We are also now offering lessons every other week at 8:00 PM for dancers who already have the basics down.
